Dolly and I came to Tenwek Hospital to serve as the host and hostess for the visiting staff.  There can be as many as 200-300 visiting medical professionals each year.  Our job is to help the visitors (and sometimes their families) walk through the everyday challenges of living and working in a cross-cultural setting.  We coordinate our efforts with the Visiting Staff Coordinator and the Visiting Staff Quarters Manager, and frequently we are grandparents for some of the resident missionary children.  The Tenwek Campus is at an elevation of about 6500 feet and is located about four miles from the small town of Bomet.
